Meadowfoam

€180.00

Meadowfoam, often called the Poached Egg Plant, is a naturalised wildflower found in gardens and meadows across Ireland. I was drawn to the bright, cheerful contrast of its white petals and the warm yellow centre, a combination that looks almost painted even when you see it growing in clusters. I studied the simple yet striking structure of the bloom, then rebuilt it in thread so the colours shift gently outward from the centre.

There is an honesty to this flower, something uncomplicated and joyful that lifts the space around it. The stitched version keeps that clarity, letting the brightness sit against the clean ground without distraction.
Framed in a white wood box frame with Artglass.
