Field Study 3

€180.00

Field Study 3 continues an abstract exploration of landscape, value, and human intervention. Layers of stitched mesh intersect with fields of gold leaf, suggesting boundaries, enclosures, and the ways we divide and define land. The addition of a smaller, more intricate fragment - stitched with circular voids - introduces a contrast in scale and structure, evoking both natural formations and man-made marks.

The piece plays with transparency and opacity, surface and depth. The shimmering gold beneath the stitching reflects not only material wealth, but the layered histories and unseen worth embedded in the terrain. Like the dry stone walls and patchwork fields that inspired it, this work invites a slow reading; asking us to consider what holds, what divides, and what connects.
