I studied the soft yellow petals and the warm golden heart at the centre, then built the bloom in thread so the colours shift gently outward, echoing the plant’s natural glow.
There is a quiet steadiness to primroses, something hopeful without being showy, and I wanted that to stay present in the stitched version. The work is framed in a white wood box frame with Artglass to preserve the detail and brightness.
