Local Artist, Anna Hutchinson, to Hold First Solo Exhibition at Ebzery’s Boutique Café, Foynes
Contemporary textile and fibre artist Anna Hutchinson will present her first solo exhibition this summer at Ebzery’s Boutique Café & Tea Rooms, a welcoming and unique event space in the heart of Foynes, Co. Limerick. The exhibition opens with a public reception on 18 July 2025, 6–9pm, and runs until 5 August 2025.
Anna’s work explores the colours and movements of sky and water, the rhythm of stitching echoing the shifts and flows in the natural world. Inspired by the natural textures and changing light of the Shannon Estuary, her pieces evolve through an intuitive process, guided more by connection and feeling than by plan. She blends freemotion embroidery with painterly sensibility, creating works that invite close viewing.
“This work comes from my connection to place, memory, and the emotional pull of the horizon,” Anna explains. “I hope visitors will find moments of recognition or wonder in the threads and textures.”
The exhibition is free to visit during café opening hours. Visitors are warmly encouraged to view the work while enjoying Ebzery’s celebrated artisan menu, crafted from locally sourced ingredients. The works are available for purchase, offering visitors the chance to take home an original piece of art.
